Meet Dr. Berky

Dr. Berky truly loves practicing orthodontics; he is grateful to God and humbled by having the opportunity to positively impact the lives of his patients. His passion for orthodontics grew out of his own personal experience with orthodontic care as a teenager. Dr. Berky thoroughly enjoys getting to know his patients. He understands that for many of his patients, receiving orthodontic treatment is a positive, life changing experience, and he looks forward to helping his patients celebrate their everyday lives with a beautiful, healthy smile.

Doctor Berky earned his undergraduate and dental degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Following Dental School, he served as an officer in the United States Army Dental Corp for 13 years. During that time, he received his Certificate of Orthodontics and his Master's Degree in Oral Biology from the University of Louisville. He also served in the North Carolina National Guard for 9 years and retired at the rank of Colonel in 2005.

Dr. Berky is a Board Certified Orthodontist, a Diplimate of the American Board of Orthodontics, and an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, in addition to maintaining memberships with the:

To stay up-to-date with the latest treatments and techniques in orthodontics, Dr. Berky regularly participates in continuing education opportunities. Each year, Dr. Berky completes more than the average credits of continuing education in a variety of different courses, including:

Dr. Berky and his wife, Debby, have been blessed with a large family, and every day they strive to live good, moral, Christian lives. He played soccer competitively at UNC-CH and maintains his passion for the sport by playing in the Greensboro Adult Soccer League. In addition to spending time with his family, he also enjoys horseback riding.
